(August 9, 2013) Bellflower, CA-Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-40) visited Dante Valve during the company’s family day event when employees brought their families to the facility in Bellflower. In addition to visiting with the families, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard went on a tour of the facility to further understand the impact that U.S. Navy aircraft carrier construction has on the local jobs and economy in Bellflower. Dante Valve manufactures and distributes valves, fittings, flanges and related products for U.S. Navy vessels. During her visit at the facility, Congresswoman Roybal-Allard met with the employees at Dante Valve to discuss the importance of consistent and continued funding for U.S. Navy ships.

“I greatly enjoyed meeting the men and women of Dante Valve and their families. These skilled workers are such a vital part of our community and the U.S. Navy industrial base,” said Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard. “I saw how investing in the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier maintenance and construction program is not only an investment in our national security-but is also an investment in our community and state. Today I got to see this investment at work and the families that benefit from it.”

“We are grateful that Congresswoman Roybal-Allard visited our company to tour our facility and meet the employees and their families who are part of the critical U.S. Navy supply chain. We are very proud of the work we perform, and today we got to display this work to Congresswoman Roybal-Allard,” stated Lisa Dante Papini, Vice President, Dante Valve.
