Norfolk, VA, August 16, 2024 – Family-owned mil-spec valve manufacturer and distributor Dante Valve welcomes Steve Shiffman as its new president, effective August 5, 2024. In this position, Steve will leverage over 25 years of leadership experience to oversee and manage all aspects of Dante Valve’s operations. Steve will report to Lisa Dante Papini, who will remain as CEO, and to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Born in New York and raised in Connecticut, Steve obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and spent his early career as a design and product equipment engineer with Perkin Elmer, Kimberly Clark, and Firearms Training Systems, the latter of which was acquired by Meggitt (now Parker Meggitt). It was at Parker Meggitt that he gained extensive experience in operations management as part of the team responsible for creating the Meggitt Production System.
Since then, Steve has played instrumental roles in operations leadership for both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies across the aerospace and defense industry. Throughout his career, he has applied his vast experience in Lean manufacturing techniques to drive cultural transformations. Prior to joining the Dante Valve team, Steve served as General Manager at Chromalloy’s New York location and Senior General Manager at their Georgia location where he spearheaded their turnaround strategies, expanded their market segments, and grew their bottom line.
